Special Youth category for 18 year old and under
A fun kitesurfing race similar to slalom,
with obstacles to jump!
Every level 3 kiteboarder who can land a
basic jump can attend this... and we expect
to see all our members and local riders to
enter this fun way of competing at each other.
Always a huge success and so much fun.
Teams are challenged with relay races around the buoys
Gather a team and sign up for the relay race!
Great beach entertainment accessable to all!
Easy to learn and fun to play.

Saturday April 12th

10am: Registration opens for all events.
Freestyle: $30 - Boardercross: $30
Beach tennis - SUP races: FREE

10:30am: Rider's meeting at the Judge's booth

11am: Freestyle Contest starts
Qualification rounds

12:30pm: Beach Tennis Open
Event for public, all day

1:30pm: Skippers Meeting at Judge‘s booth

2pm: Boardercross Races start
Qualification rounds

4:30pm: SUP relay races start
Free Event for public and riders
Sign in by teams

6pm: End of day 1
Pack up and cleaning

7pm: Happy Hour and Party at Joe’s

Sunday April 13th

10am: Day 2 opens.

4pm: SUP relay races start
Free Event for public and riders

5pm: Award Ceremony on the beach

6pm: Pack up and cleaning

7pm: Happy Hour and Dinner at Joe’s

Notes: Food is served at the South Food Concession at Crandon Park during the day. Snacks and cold drinks will be available at MKB booth on the beach. A special Masters 2014 menu will be served at Joe’s after 6:30pm.

Registration Fees

Freestyle Contest: $30
Boardercross Races: $30
Both Events: $50
Registration includes:
  • 1 Competitor Water-shirt
  • 1 Colored Pennant to be attached to kite all day
  • 2 Drink Tickets

To be fully registered, each contestant must:

  • Sign Registration Form
  • Sign the Liability Waiver
  • Pay Fees
  • Sign up at the Judge's booth and attend the rider's meeting at the judge’s booth before the contest starts
  • Receive a colored pennant to attach to KITE LINES before going in the water

Notes: All registration forms and payments will be available at the judge’s booth on the beach. Cash and Credit are accepted.

However, we recommend that contestants register ONLINE, PRIOR to the events as sign in is always hectic on the day of the event.

T-Shirt of the event will be available for purchase all weekend at the MKB booth on the beach.

RULES & REGULATIONS During the Event

Each contestant and kiteoarder must follow all rules and boundaries in place at Crandon Park
Several beach patrols will be STRICTLY ENFORCING those rules on the beach and water.
IMPORTANT: Any Kiter entering the no-kite zone must IMMEDIATELY DISABLE using the quick-release and retrieve their kite by pulling one line. Failure to do so: kiter will not be allowed to return to the water.
In Addition to the regular kiteboarding rules at Crandon park, non-contestant kiters must:

  • Sign in and fill out a waiver
  • Attach a colored streamer to their kite
  • Remain 600ft from shore at all times
  • Stay away from the competition while a race is running. No coming or going from the beach is allowed while a contest in taking place
