On December 22nd 2001, a french instructor of miamikiteboarding, Fabrice COLLARD, crosses the 100 miles from Key-West (Florida) to Cuba with a kite, along with two other Floridian kiteboarder in 9 hours with 25 knots+ of wind and 12feet+ of waves in the Gulf stream.This is up to now the guinness world record of distance with a kite !
